BRANDON, Man. - Andrew Hayes made 33 saves to backstop the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 4-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League on Tuesday night.
Scott Glennie scored two goals for the Wheat Kings, notching the game-winner on a power play 40 seconds into the second period and later adding an empty-netter.
Aaron Lewadniuk and Brayden Schenn also scored for the Wheat Kings, who improved to 13-9-1-0.
Drayson Bowman replied for the Chiefs, who fell to 14-6-0-3.
Dustin Tokarski stopped 19 shots for Spokane.
