SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. - Andrew Fritsch converted a feed from Ryan Sproul 4:41 into overtime to give the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds a 4-3 victory over the Sudbury Wolves on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League.
Fritsch drove the net and took a feed from Sproul and beat Wolves goaltender Jeremy Pominville high glove side to give the Greyhounds the win.
Corey Durocher, Carson Dubchak and Brandon Alderson also scored for Sault Ste. Marie (4-1-0). Nick Cousins set up a pair of goals in the win.
Goaltender Matt Murray stopped 29 shots for the Greyhounds.
Brody Silk, Frank Corrado and Josh Leivo supplied the offence for Sudbury (0-4-1), while Michael Sgarbossa set up a pair of goals.
Pominville stopped 25 shots in his first start for the Wolves after being called up from the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League's Sudbury Cubs.
Sault Ste. Marie held a 3-1 lead going into the third period before the Wolves battled back to tie the game thanks to third period goals by Silk and Corrado.
