Allen makes 21 saves for sixth-career shutout as Wolves blank Heat
NHL.com @NHLdotcomCHICAGO - Jake Allen made 21 saves for his third shutout of the season as the Chicago Wolves blanked the visiting Abbotsford Heat 2-0 on Sunday in American Hockey League action.
Evan Oberg opened the scoring for the Wolves (31-17-6) 9:27 into the first period and Ty Rattie added an insurance goal at 12:17 of the third while Abbotsford's Shane O'Brien was serving a double minor for high sticking.
Josh Jooris and Blair Jones led all Heat (33-17-5) skaters with four shots apiece on Allen while aaron Dell stopped 19-of-21 shots in defeat.
Chicago went 2 for 7 on the power play while Abbotsford failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
