ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The New York Islanders put forth one of their better performances of the season Tuesday. That's what their coach thought, anyway.

Frans Nielsen scored twice and John Tavares had a goal and an assist to help the Islanders to a 4-1 win against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center.

At 2:42 of the third period in the Islanders/Wild game, Minnesota requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether a New York player interfered with Minnesota goaltender Devan Dubnyk prior to John Tavares' goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Referee confirmed no goaltender interference infractions occurred before the puck crossed the goal line.
