The Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 in LA. In a busy third period, Auston Matthews got on the board for the Leafs, tying the game at one apiece. John Tavares stepped up as well, scoring the go-ahead goal and adding an empty-netter to seal the deal. Anthony Stolarz made 36 saves in this one, but with 35 goals so far this season and two big ones in the win, Tavares earned himself the belt.
