Leafs TV announced Thursday that the television ratings for the first game of its 2010-11 Toronto Maple Leafs programming drew a record 575,000 viewers*. The game was the most-watched event ever on Leafs TV and posted one of the highest digital audience totals in history.
“The Leafs’ early season success has clearly resonated with fans and we’re proud to bring the excitement of Maple Leafs hockey to Leafs Nation and our channel is growing with these audiences,” said Chris Hebb, senior vice-president, broadcast and content, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
Interest continued well after the final horn on Monday night, with 15,427 people viewing the Game in 6 Minutes online.
Leafs TV will air 12 Toronto Maple Leafs games this season. The next Leafs TV game is at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 28 at Boston. Toronto plays next against the New York Rangers tonight at 7 p.m.
