The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors announced over the weekend that defenceman Stuart Percy
will be the club's new captain.
Percy, a third year defenceman from Oakville, Ontario succeeds Casey Cizikas as the team's captain. The 18-year-old first round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs (25th overall) in 2011 was a stalwart on the blueline for the Majors during their Mastercard Memorial Cup run last season, playing 89 games through the regular season, playoffs, and CHL championship. Stuart registered six goals and 40 assists for 46 points through 84 regular season and playoff games before notching four assists in the Majors five games in the Memorial Cup, good enough for second in team scoring in the tournament.
Percy joins another Leafs prospect as captain of his OHL team as Sam Carrick
wears the 'C' for the Brampton Battalion.
