The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the club has recalled defenceman Stuart Percy and forward Brendan Leipsic from the Toronto Marlies (AHL).
Percy, 22, has skated in 43 regular season games with the Marlies this season registering 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) and 23 penalty minutes. The Oakville native has appeared in nine career games with the Maple Leafs, tallying three assists. Percy was drafted by Toronto in the 1st round (25th overall) during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Leipsic, 21, has appeared in 49 regular season games with the Marlies this year collecting 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists). The Winnipeg, Manitoba native made his NHL debut earlier this month registering a goal in a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on February 13. Leipsic was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 3rd round (89th overall) during the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
The Maple Leafs return to the ice tomorrow night when they host Nashville at 7:30 p.m., while the Marlies host the Binghamton Senators (AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators) on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m.
