Leafs scoring for charities

by Staff Writer / Toronto Maple Leafs
On Wednesday, October 3, 2001 during the Leafs home opener, the Toronto Maple Leafs look forward to scoring again with the Leaf Community Goals program.

The Community Goals program is a season long initiative that involves partnering corporate sponsors with Maple Leaf players to raise funds for children's charities. Each time a designated Leaf player scores, a donation will be made by the participating corporate partner to Go Kids Go! The Leaf Fund. This season, each sponsor will donate up to $15,000 to Go Kids Go!

Player-sponsor match-ups for the 2001-02 season include:

AMJ Campbell Van Lines --- Robert Reichel
Burger King --- Gary Roberts
Motorola --- Alexander Mogilny
PlayStation --- Mikael Renberg
American Express --- Mats Sundin

Since its inception during the 1997-98 season, the Leaf Community Goals program has raised more than $150,000 to benefit the charities of Go Kids Go! The Leaf Fund.
