The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that the club has recalled defenceman T.J. Brennan on an emergency basis and reassigned defenceman Andrew MacWilliam and forward Greg McKegg to the Toronto Marlies.
Brennan, 25, has been held pointless in three regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season. The Willingboro, New Jersey native has also skated in 63 American Hockey League games this year (54 with Rockford and nine with Toronto), collecting 37 points (nine goals, 28 assists) and 65 penalty minutes.
MacWilliam, 25, made his NHL debut on March 11, 2015 against the Buffalo Sabres and has registered one assist in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season. The Calgary, Alberta native also has seven points (three goals, four assists) in 53 games with the Marlies this year.
McKegg, 22, has been held pointless in three games with the Maple Leafs this season. The St. Thomas, Ontario native also has 31 points (17 goals, 14 assists) in 51 regular season games with the Toronto Marlies this year.
The Maple Leafs and Marlies both return to the ice tomorrow; the Leafs play host to the Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m., while the Marlies will host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 3 p.m.
