Toronto Maple Leafs forward Kris Newbury was examined Saturday night at Mount Sinai Hospital following the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tests revealed that Newbury suffered no skull or C-spine fracture.

Newbury and Ronald Petrovicky were assessed fighting majors at 13:53 of the third period Saturday at Air Canada Centre. Newbury was conscious and alert as he was transported from the ice to the dressing room.
Newbury, 24, has two goals and two assists in 15 games with the Maple Leafs this season.
