The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that forward Brandon Kozun has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
Kozun, 24, has skated in six regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season collecting one assist. Kozun also collected a goal during a three-game conditioning stint with the Marlies earlier this month. The Los Angeles, California native suffered a high ankle sprain in a game against the Detroit Red Wings on October 17.
The Marlies return to the ice tomorrow night when they travel to Grand Rapids (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) for a 7 p.m. game. The Maple Leafs travel to Carolina tonight (7 p.m.) for their first meeting of the season against the Hurricanes
