Jackman Goes On Conditioning Stint

(December 9, 2003) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that they have assigned defenceman Ric Jackman to the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League for conditioning.

Jackman, 25, has played 18 games for Toronto this season collecting four points (one goal, three assists) with seven penalty minutes. His lone goal of the season was the game winning goal October 18 at Montreal.

Jackman has played 100 career NHL games for Dallas, Boston and Toronto collecting nine points (two goals, seven assists) with 74 penalty minutes.

The native of Toronto, Ontario was acquired by the Maple Leafs from Boston in exchange for the rights to Kris Vernarsky May 13, 2002. He was originally Dallas' first choice, fifth overall in the 1996 Entry Draft.
