(August 29, 2005) -- Looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon in September? The Toronto Maple Leafs Blue & White game presented by McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited might just be the answer.

The Leafs announced Monday that tickets for this preseason favourite go on sale Wednesday, August 31 at 10 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by phone at (416) 872-5000, online at or through all Ticketmaster outlets. Prices are $10, $12 and $15 plus service charge. Purchases must be made by credit card. Only Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club/Enroute will be accepted.

The annual Blue & White game will be played Saturday, September 17 at Ricoh Coliseum, the home of the Toronto Marlies. Game time is 1 p.m.

""The annual Blue & White game is a time-honoured tradition during Leafs training camp and we're excited about bringing it back to Toronto for the first time in many years,"" said Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Mike Penny. ""The game provides a great opportunity for hockey fans to see Leafs players and prospects on the ice at the same time prior to the start of the 2005-06 regular season.""

Testing hockey skills through the Leafs Off-Ice tour, alumni autograph sessions and meeting the team mascots are some of the activities open to the general public starting at
11 a.m. in Ricoh Coliseum's North Parking Lot.

Proceeds from the Blue & White game benefit the Leafs Fund, the charitable arm of the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club. Raising more than a million dollars each year, the Leafs Fund is committed to improving the lives of children and youth by providing access to sports and recreation opportunities that encourage health and wellness in the community.

McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited will serve as the title sponsor, while AM 640 will be the media sponsor.

Single-game ticket sales for the Leafs 2005-06 season will be announced in mid-September. The team's home opener will be Wednesday, October 5 with the Leafs hosting the Ottawa Senators at Air Canada Centre.
