The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that goaltender Tom Barrasso is sidelined indefinitely with a broken bone in his hand. The injury occurred in Toronto's final regular season game April 13 at Ottawa.
Barrasso, 37, appeared in four games for Toronto and had a record of 2-2-0 with a 2.74 goals against average.
The native of Boston, Massachusetts was acquired from Carolina March 15, 2002 in exchange for Toronto's fourth round choice in the 2003 Entry Draft. At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Barrasso finished the season with a record of 15-14-5 and two shutouts.
