2004 World Cup Coming To Air Canada Centre

(Nov. 19, 2003) -- TORONTO - The World Cup of Hockey 2004 Organizing Committee and National Hockey League's (NHL) Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that five-game ticket packages for the World Cup of Hockey 2004 will go on sale on Friday, November 21 at 10 a.m. online at www.ticketmaster.ca or by phone at (416) 872-5000. Five-game ticket package prices start from $350 for upper bowl and $1,130 for lower bowl.



Air Canada Centre will host five World Cup of Hockey 2004 games, which include:

Saturday, September 4 Canada vs. Russia
Sunday, September 5 Russia vs. Slovakia
Wednesday, September 8 Quarterfinal - North American Pool
Saturday, September 11 Semifinal
Tuesday, September 14 Championship game

Eight of the world's top hockey nations will compete in the second World Cup of Hockey tournament between August 30 and September 14, 2004. Team Canada, 2002 Olympic gold medal-champions, will be joined by teams from Slovakia, United States and Russia in the North American pool, while the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany and Sweden will compete in the European pool.
