Program Info

The Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School presented by Rogers offers two options of camp weeks for your athlete to come out and train with us!

All age groups and positions are offered in both weeks of camp, with daily programming running from 8:30am-4:30pm within the respective weeks.

Both camp weeks are located at MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence and have an associated cost of $675 plus applicable taxes per player, per week. Located at 400 Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke, Ontario, the 30,000 square-foot facility is the permanent training facility for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies.

Maple Leafs Hockey School

The July Hockey School is available to all Novice, Atom, and Peewee aged boys and girls as relates to the 2017-18 minor hockey season, regardless of experience or skill level.

Participant Package

Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School participants will receive the following as part of their camper package:

The cost of the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School is $675.00 CDN plus all applicable taxes, per player per week.

If you change your mind about camp, or something comes up, that's ok! We do not issue full refunds, but we will issue a refund, less 20% of tuition ($135+HST) for administration fees until June 1st, 2017. Which means you will be refunded $540+HST.

You can also purchase Cancellation Insurance during the registration process at 3% of tuition ($20.25) which will allow you to have the option for a refund less 20% tuition ($135+HST) up until 7 days before the first day of camp. Which means you will be refunded $540+HST.

Within 7 days of the first scheduled day of camp, there will be no refunds issued.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are also firm supporters of an active and healthy lifestyle. We are pleased to inform you that your child's Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School tuition may qualify for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit. You may be able to claim up to $500 of your child's tuition for a tax credit. For more information on the Children's Fitness Tax Credit, please click here.

FAQ

A: The Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School welcomes players of all ability levels. Once on-site, each participant will be placed into a group with other players of similar age and ability.

A: All sessions are co-ed and are available to Novice, Atom, and Peewee aged hockey players. Go to Eligibility section for a detailed outline of ages and birth years that are eligible for the 2016 Hockey School.

A: The Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School will be held at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence, the official practice facility of the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club. Click here for location and map information.

A: Refunds are only available for medical circumstances, and must be accompanied by a physician's note. If Refund Insurance is purchased at the time of registration, a full refund for medical circumstances only is available up until 7 days prior to the participant's first scheduled day of camp.

If Medical Refund Insurance is not purchased at the time of registration, a refund less a $150 processing fee will be available until May 15, 2015. Note that refund requests will not be fulfilled after this date if Medical Refund Insurance is not purchased.

In order to receive a refund, please email camps@mlse.com or leave a message at (416) 815-5600 ext. 2850 prior to the date above and one of our Hockey School staff will contact you within 48 hours.

A: Offered at the time of registration, Medical Refund Insurance allows for a full refund of tuition past the May 15th, 2015 refund cut-off date all the way up until 7 days prior to the participant's first scheduled day of camp. The insurance is solely meant to cover medical-related events that would otherwise prevent your child from participating in camp.

For a refund to be issued a formal written claim must be filed with MLSE. This claim must include confirmation of the refund insurance purchase, and a medical report from the child's attending physician.

The cost of the Medical Refund Insurance is set at 3% of tuition. The insurance is offered during the session selection step of the registration process and must be purchased at that point - insurance cannot be purchased once registration is completed.

A: One of the distinct features of the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School is our staff. Our instructor to participant ratio is 1:6.

A: We ask that all participants be checked in and out of the facility on each camp day by a parent or guardian. At the conclusion of the day, participants will not be allowed to leave the facility without an adult. In the event that your child is scheduled to be picked up by a secondary caregiver, please inform your Group Lead on the day in question during check-in. You will be asked to sign a release form to this effect.

A: Yes, parents and guests are welcome to stay and observe the hockey school training sessions. In order to facilitate the daily activities, we require all guests to remain in the designated observation areas at all times. We also request that you refrain from trying to enter the dressing rooms or surrounding hallways unless otherwise specified.

A: A certified trainer will be on-site at all times in case of a medical emergency. The Emergency Contact outlined on your application will be notified by phone immediately by the Site Manager.

A: Spending money is not necessary as all participants will be provided with water, and lunch during the school. We suggest you top-up your hockey star with preferential foods/beverages of their choice, however please keep in mind that we are a nut-free program.

Note that the MasterCard Centre snack bar will not be available to Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School athletes during camp hours.

A: A balanced lunch will be provided to all participants of the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School. The food will vary each day and will consist of a nutritious, well-balanced meal. Should there be any special dietary instruction please contact us by email at gschell@torontomapleleafs.com before June 1st, 2015.

Note that the MasterCard Centre snack bar will not be available to Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey School campers during camp hours.

A: Upon completion of your registration, you will receive an automatic confirmation to the email address supplied. Please retain this confirmation email for reporting and tax purposes. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us by email at leafscamps@mlse.com.

A: MasterCard Centre has a privately run Pro Shop that is open daily during the course of the camp week for skate sharpening.
