What to Watch For: Lightning vs. Stars

The Tampa Bay Lightning face off against the Dallas Stars tonight for the second and final time this season. The last time these two teams faced off, Tampa Bay won 4-2. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Here are five storylines heading into tonight's matchup:

  1. Tonight's game features four of the top 10 rookies in the NHL for points (Johnson, Palat, Nichushkin, and Chiasson).
  2. Andrej Sustre rejoined the Bolts yesterday and will play in tonight's game versus Dallas. The defenseman spent just under the past two months playing with the Bolts AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.
  3. The Lightning's power play unit has scored at least a goal in seven of their past 10 games. The Stars have allowed a power play goal in 10 of their past 15 games.
  4. Nate Thompson enters tonight's game sitting just one goal shy of tying his single season career-high for goals set during the 2010-11 season.
  5. Ryan Callahan has recored 11 points since joining the Lightning 15 games ago.
