What to Watch For: Lightning vs. Panthers

by Michelle Gingras / Tampa Bay Lightning

Tonight, the Tampa Bay Lightning will continue a six-game homestand as they face the Florida Panthers for the fourth and final time this season. The Bolts hold a record of 3-0-0 versus the Panthers this season. Puck drops at 7:00 pm and you can follow all of the action on Sun Sports.

Here are six additional storylines to follow heading into tonight's matchup.

Defensemen Radko Gudas and Sami Salo both said they would be ready to play tonight versus the Panthers. Both have been previously listed day-to-day with lower body injuries.

The Bolts have gone 6-1-1 against the Panthers since the beginning of last season.

Despite only appearing in two of the three games against the Panthers, Steven Stamkos leads all skaters in tonight's matchup with four goals and two assists.

Tyler Johnson enters tonight's contest on a four-game point streak (three goals, one assist). He also is ranked first (tied) in the league for short-handed goals, netting his fourth of the season on Monday.

If the Bolts win tonight it would be their first ever season sweep against the Panthers in franchise history.

The penalty kill has continued to be solid for the Bolts, killing 15 of their last 16 penalties. The Bolts have also not allowed a power-play goal against on home ice since January 23.
