The mood was quiet as one might expect last night following the Lightning's loss in Chicago. The team won't have any time to dwell on it after flying to Detroit after the game for tonight's meeting with the Red Wings. With the loss of an hour coming back to Eastern time and a half-hour bus ride from the airport, the team didn’t reach the lobby of the Detroit Marriott until Due to the late arrival, the Lightning once again held a meeting at the hotel in lieu of a morning skate.
The temperature is in the 20s in Detroit today, and according to Lightning radio announcer Dave Mishkin and Sun Sports' Paul Kennedy, it felt more like the teens during their daily morning jog. When most are still sleeping, the dedicated pair hit the pavement for four or five miles every morning when the team's on the road.
John Tortorella didn’t reveal any lineup changes or plans this morning, but their seems to be a good chance Marc Denis will start in net for the Bolts tonight. Denis made some strong saves in the third period last night, and the period of work he got last night will likely help him to be sharp tonight.
