TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING REINDEER RUN & FAMILY HOLIDAY FESTIVAL SET FOR SATURDAY

DAY TO FEATURE 5K, 1-MILE FUN RUN AND KIDS RACES
The Tampa Bay Lightning Reindeer Run and Family Holiday Festival, presented by Pepin Heart Hospital & Research Institute, comes to the St. Pete Times Forum this Saturday (December 17) starting at 8 a.m. Honorary Chairmen are Sun Sports broadcasters Paul Kennedy, Rick Peckham and Bobby "The Chief" Taylor, and proceeds from the event will benefit the Pepin Heart Hospital & Research Institute, the Lightning Foundation and Epilepsy Charities.
The Reindeer Run features Kids Races, a 1-mile Fun Run and a 5K (USATF certified). Participants will each receive a T-shirt, and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division for the 5K. In addition, the first 500 participants in the Reindeer Run who bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to The Salvation Army will receive a Lightning stocking stuffed with holiday surprises including collectable Lightning coins, a Tim Taylor Stanley Cup DVD and more.
Check in and late registration will take place from 6-7:30 a.m., with the 5K set for 8 a.m. The 1-mile Fun Run/Walk will start at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Kids Races at 9:45 a.m. The Family Holiday Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Chrysler/Jeep Plaza at the St. Pete Times Forum and will feature a nine-hole putt-putt golf challenge, entertainment, arts and crafts and holiday shopping. There also will be a holiday workshop for children to make presents for family and friends.
