Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier underwent an examination by an eye doctor in Buffalo, New York today after being high-sticked in the right eye during last night’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks. At the time he received three stitches.
Lecavalier has no structural damage to the eye. A decision on his availability for tomorrow’s game against the Buffalo Sabres will be made at that time based on his progress. He is listed as day-to-day.
