Lightning Reassign Goaltender Karri Ramo to Norfolk of the AHL

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned goaltender Karri Ramo to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced.  

Ramo, 22, appeared in two games for the Lightning during his most recent recall, making 29 saves to earn a 4-3 victory at Anaheim on January 9. He has played 23 games this season with Norfolk, posting a 7-11-4 record with a 3.62 goals-against average and a .887 save percentage. He made one previous appearance with the Lightning this season, making 15 saves in relief on November 23 versus New Jersey.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound native of Asikkala, Finland was drafted by the Lightning in the sixth round, 191st overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In 27 career appearances with Tampa Bay, Ramo has compiled an 8-12-3 record with a 3.23 goals-against average.
