TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today that its Student Rush Ticket program will return for another season and will kick off this Friday, November 4, as the team hosts the Chicago Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Pete Times Forum.
"The Lightning are rapidly growing in popularity, particularly with high school and college students," Executive Vice President of Sales Jamie Spencer said. "The Student Rush program offers them an affordable way to support their hometown team with their closest friends."
Back by popular demand, the Student Rush Ticket program is available to any high school or college student with a valid student identification for 2011-12 regular season home games. Tickets are $25 and are limited to one ticket per student. Tickets are based on availability and may only be purchased at the McDonald's Ticket Office located on the west plaza at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Due to the high volume of ticket requests, Student Rush seats will be limited to one per customer and will be made available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis 15 minutes prior to the puck drop. Students will receive the best ticket available at the time of purchase, excluding VIP seating locations.
