TAMPA – You’ve never seen competition like this! Watch tournament play “heat up” as more than 30 of your favorite sports and entertainment celebrities hit the felt to raise funds for pediatric cancer on Thursday, September 13 at the 6th Annual Vincent Lecavalier Texas Hold’Em Celebrity Poker Tournament.

The Texas Hold’Em Tournament, organized to benefit pediatric cancer and The Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at All Children’s Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine has a limited number of seats remaining for “average Joes” who are ready to knock out their favorite celebrity and sports heroes.

Tickets may be purchased online at through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, September 12th. Sales will reopen at 6:30 p.m. the evening of the tournament at TPepin’s Hospitality Centre.

Celebrity participation is expected to represent an unprecedented cross section of sports and entertainment with NFL, MLB, NHL, rock n’ roll, boxing, tennis, and even media/television personalities. Among the early commitments are Lecavalier’s Lightning teammates Martin St. Louis, Steven Stamkos, Teddy Purcell, Victor Hedman, Marc-Andre Bergeon, Eric Brewer, B.J. Crombeen, and Mathieu Garon. Former MLB players Tino Martinez, Josh Fogg, Toby Hall and Brian Stokes, as well as Olympic swimmer Brooke Bennett are also scheduled to attend.

Not an ace player? Don’t sweat the cards. It’s more about the fun and the cause. There will be unlimited number of re-buys available for a suggested minimum donation during the first hour of play.

As a charity event, no cash or prizes will be awarded for tournament play and while Vinny’s cancer center may be the real winner, should you be seated at one of the final two tables, you just might receive an invitation to play in a separate, sponsored tournament for a $50,000 prize pool.

A VIP/All Access Poker Player Pass including access to the VIP Party, the Wild Card Party, and one seat for the tournament is $500; and a General Access Poker Player Pass (including access to the Wild Card Party and one Poker seat) is $400.

Spectator passes are also available. The VIP All Access Guest pass which provides access to the VIP Party and Wild Card Party is available for $200, and the General Access Guest Pass which includes the Wild Card Party is available for $150.
