The Tampa Bay Lightning organization would like to extend a thank you to its loyal fans for another fun-filled, energy-packed season of Bolts hockey. Thanks to record-setting performances and the support of the fans, the team’s 10th season at the St. Pete Times Forum was an exciting time for everyone in Tampa Bay.

Making their fourth consecutive playoff appearance, the Lightning entered the post-season boasting two of the league’s top-five point scorers. Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis combined to lead the Bolts as the only pair of teammates with more than 100 points each, reaching the plateau for the first time in franchise history.

The duo broke personal and franchise-best marks through the year including the club record for goals scored in a season. With both players eclipsing the previous mark, Lecavalier went on to lead the NHL and become the first French Canadian skater to win the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy with his first 52-goal effort.

Dan Boyle became the first defenseman in franchise history to record 20 goals in a season and was one of two blue liners in the league to reach the mark. Combined with Filip Kuba, who smashed his previous best with a new total of 15 goals in a season, the pair ranked as the second-highest scoring pair of defenseman in the league.

Late season acquisitions such as Shane O’Brien and Jason Ward added to the energy provided by forwards Andre Roy and Nick Tarnasky, and goaltender Johan Holmqvist recorded 27 wins in his first full season in the league. In addition to the new faces, returning players like Brad Richards helped the club tie a franchise record with 22 road wins.

As the Lightning prepare for their 15th season in the NHL, they look to put together another record-setting year. The Bolts look forward to seeing you next season and thank you, the fans, for your continued support and enthusiasm.
