Bolts by the numbers: January 23 edition

by Peter Pupello / Tampa Bay Lightning

Who's hot heading into this week:

1. VINCENT LECAVALIER The Bolts captain enters this week riding a five-game point streak, which is currently his longest of the season. Over that stretch, Lecavalier has picked up two goals and eight points, and has a plus-four rating in that span.
2. MARTIN ST. LOUIS Like Lecavalier, Tampa Bay’s veteran winger also has registered points in five straight games, with a goal and seven assists. Since returning from injury, St. Louis has amassed 17 assists in 15 games.

The 2012 All-Star enters Tuesday’s game with points in all but one of his past seven games. Stamkos leads the NHL with 32 goals and also ranks third in points with 52 behind Claude Giroux and Evgeni Malkin, respectively.
Purcell is coming off a big weekend having scored twice, including the game-winner, against the Stars to record his first multi-goal game of the season, then following it up with another goal the very next night versus the Coyotes.
The Bolts forward has points in two of his past three games, recording a goal, three assists and four points in that span. Both of those games in which he has points have been multi-point performances.
