Bolts at Panthers Game Notes

by Peter Pupello / Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning are in Sunrise, Florida today to face the Florida Panthers and look to snap a two-game losing streak.

Here are some notes leading up to tonight's game:

Anders Lindback will get the start in net tonight for the Bolts, as the Lightning goaltender looks to improve upon his 3-0-0 career record against the Panthers.

Marc-Andre Bergeron will be back in the lineup, and has had success against the Panthers throughout his career, as he enters tonight's tilt with 15 points in 17 career games against Florida.

The Bolts will also welcome Radko Gudas into the lineup tonight, while both Adam Hall and Brian Lee will be scratched.

-Martin St. Louis became the Lightning franchise leader in points with his assist on March7 versus Winnipeg,  surpassing Vincent Lecavalier in that category. St. Louis now has recorded 865 career points with the Lightning, while Lecavalier sits second at 862.

-The Bolts haven't allowed a power play goal against the Panthers in five straight games dating back to last season.

-Steven Stamkos is currently on a seven game goal streak against the Panthers, tied with Mario Lemieux for the longest such streak all-time against Florida.

-Anders Lindback is 2-0-0 against the Panthers this season and he registered his first career NHL shutout against them on Dec. 11, 2010.

-Martin St. Louis has notched a point in six straight games against the Panthers, collecting four goals and six assists during that stretch

Guy Boucher, on Radko Gudas:
"He's a right-handed shot and he has major upside. He's a major menace and threat on the ice, a warrior, and he hits guys hard when they least expect. He reminds me of Darius Kasparaitis, if you remember him. He's one of the top defenseman on Syracuse this year and we really liked him in camp. He deserves to be here."
