Top prospects Tyler Seguin, Taylor Hall, Brett Connolly, Erik Gudbranson, Cam Fowler and Long Beach native Emerson Etem will be in attendance on Thursday.
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings and the Toyota Sports Center (TSC), in conjunction with the National Hockey League, will host six prospects tomorrow morning, Thursday, as part of the special 2010 NHL Draft Prospects Youth Clinic leading up to this weekend’s NHL Entry Draft at STAPLES Center.
The event, which is scheduled to take place from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., is open to the public and people are encouraged to attend and to watch from the stands at TSC. Media attending the event can interview the participants during the Clinic, which will feature 30 local youth hockey players. The prospects are expected to arrive at 10:30 a.m.
Tyler Seguin, Taylor Hall, Brett Connolly, Erik Gudbranson, Cam Fowler and Long Beach native Emerson Etem -- all expected to be first round selections in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft – are expected to participate. Former Kings forwards/current Kings broadcasters Jim Fox and Daryl Evans are slated to participate, and Willie O’Ree will lead a goals-setting discussion with the participants. Bailey, the club’s mascot, will also be featured.
In addition, the NHL will host a Top Prospects Media Luncheon later that day at the Target Terrace at LA Live. The Media Lunch is from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. and media availability with the prospects is from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
The 2010 NHL Entry Draft takes place at STAPLES Center on Friday, beginning at 4 p.m., and on continues on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.
