Hello! And congratulations on choosing to spend your weekend in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada for Frozen Fury XVII! Whether you're a veteran of the Frozen Fury experience or if this is your first time seeing the Los Angeles Kings take on the Colorado Avalanche at the MGM Grand Garden Arena... you are about to embark on a fantastic trip!
We here at The Royal Half Chamber of Commerce have put together the Ultimate Frozen Fury Weekend Itinerary™ so that you can get the most out of your 3 days in Las Vegas! Let's take a look!
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2
As soon as you land at McCarran International Airport, check into your room and get ready to have some fun! Sure, you can hang out with your fellow LA Kings fans at either the Hofbräuhaus or Tom's Urban on Friday night... but let's be honest... the whole point of going to Frozen Fury is the possibility of running into your favorite hockey players on the streets of Las Vegas! So we've found the perfect spot for a Celebrity Hockey Player Sighting!
A country music festival!
Yeah, you are pretty much guaranteed to see a hockey player here.
But probably not Alec Martinez this time around.
Maybe country music isn't your thing... but being frightened is! Well, it's the month of October and that means the scary season is upon us. So why not spend your first night in Vegas witnessing the scariest thing in North America!
Oh, sorry.... we don't mean the Fright Dome at Circus Circus that opens Friday night. No, we mean the scariest thing in the world would be watching the Sharks-Coyotes preseason game that same night.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3
We here at The Royal Half Chamber of Commerce recommend that you sleep in a little bit on Saturday morning.... BEFORE YOU HEAD TO THE MGM GRAND LAZY RIVER!!!
Of course the big event on Saturday is the hockey game between the Kings and the Avalanche. But why not take a trip back to the 1990's when the Colorado Avalanche were actually good?
Just make sure you have your tissues close by when a certain Counting Crows song is played during the encore!
We are gonna be big stars, Mr. Jones. We really are.
Oh wait, nevermind about that big stars part.
And now, we've reached our main event... the reason we all came to Las Vegas this weekend... to watch as many Canadians as possible perform!!!
There is a Tragically Hip concert in Vegas the same night as a NHL game?!?
I really don't feel like any of the players will show up for the game.
The only thing more Canadian than the Tragically Hip is hockey.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4
Get yourself home as quickly as possible. You are going to be exhausted and have work on Monday!
We hope you've enjoyed this Ultimate Frozen Fury Weekend Itinerary™ from The Royal Half Chamber of Commerce. Most importantly, be safe and sane... AND GO KINGS GO!!!
