Reign Lose 5-1 to Grizzlies

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, lost 5-1 to the Utah Grizzlies before 7,836 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena Saturday night.

After Simon Ferguson gave Utah an early lead, Shawn Collymore scored an unassisted goal to level it at 1-1.  Utah goaltender Andrew Engelage went behind his net to sweep the puck around the boards, but he put it right on the stick of Collymore, who fired it into a wide-open cage for his fourth power-play goal of the season.

The Grizzlies added goals by Marcus Carroll, Giffen Nyren and two by Ferguson for the hat trick and Utah won it 5-1.

Alex Petizian made 30 saves in his first start in a Reign jersey and Engelage saved 28.

Tonight’s three stars were:
1) UTA – Simon Ferguson
2) UTA – Andrew Engelage
3) ONT – Shawn Collymore
