The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced today that veteran defenseman Chad Starling has signed on for a fourth season with the club.
Starling, 30, has been with the Reign since its inaugural season and has 20 points (3g, 17a) and 199 penalty minutes in 158 games with Ontario. An injury limited the blue liner to 14 appearances last season.
The Delisle, Saskatchewan native is entering his eleventh professional season and was recently named to the ECHL All-Decade Team. Starling led the Cincinnati Cyclones to the Kelley Cup championship in 2008 and his +48 rating that season earned him Plus Performer of the Year honors.
