by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, lost 4-2 to the Stockton Thunder before 6,764 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena Wednesday night.

Alex Bourret put the Reign up 1-0 at 13:48 of the first period with his third goal of the season.  Michael Pelech intercepted a Stockton pass at the Reign blue line and fired a home run pass to Bourret, who glided in all alone on net and beat Bryan Pitton high on the blocker side.

The Thunder took a 2-1 lead early in the second period on goals by Kelly Czuy at 1:21 and Craig Valette at 4:31.  Jarrett Konkle extended the Stockton lead to 3-1 at 11:45.

Michael Pelech slapped a rebound through a crowd and into the net to pull Ontario within one at 16:54 of the third period, but Czuy scored his second goal twelve seconds later to make the final score Stockton 4, Reign 2.

Mike Zacharias stopped 31 shots in the contest, while Pitton stopped 35.
