ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, 2011-12 Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL’s 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, have agreed to terms with Dan DaSilva and Adrian Van de Mosselaer for the 2012-13 season.
DaSilva, 27, played in the KHL for 15 games with Poprad Lev during the 2011-12 season. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native played for the AHL’s Worcester Sharks for the two seasons prior and was one of the leading scorers for the team with 94 points (37g, 57a) in 152 games.
From his professional debut in 2005 until 2009 the 6-foot-1, 195-pound right winger played between the AHL (Lowell, Albany, Lake Erie and Worcester), ECHL (San Diego and Phoenix) and CHL (Arizona) for 202 game recording 111 points (52g, 59a).
DaSilva played with the Portland Winter Hawks for three seasons from 2002 until 2005 appearing in 200 games. He earned 151 points (76g, 75a) with the Winter Hawks. He finished his final year of junior hockey with 73 points to take the team lead.
Van de Mosselaer, 22, joins the Reign for his second season with the club after making his professional debut with the team last year. The Kelowna, British Columbia native recorded ten points (1g, 9a) and 87 penalty minutes in 57 games and finished the season with a plus-minus rating of plus 3.
The 6-foot-2, 207-pound blue liner earned his first points in a 4-1 victory over the Alaska Aces with three assists. Van de Mosselaer netted his first professional goal in a 4-3 shootout win over the Aces.
As a junior, Van de Mosselaer played in the WHL with the Edmonton Oil Kings for 218 games earning 55 points (15g, 40a) and 325 penalty minutes.
