Reign Acquire Justin Taylor From Steelheads

ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, acquired center Justin Taylor from the Idaho Steelheads for future considerations.

Taylor recorded eight points (3g, 5a) and six penalty minutes in 10 games with Idaho this season.

The Edmonton, Alberta native scored 30 points (13g, 17a) in 36 games with Las Vegas Wranglers in the 2008-09 regular season and added six points (2g, 4a) in 15 playoff games before the team lost in finals. His performance earned him a spot on the All-Star roster. Taylor also scored 7 points (4g, 3a) that season in 19 AHL games split between the Milwaukee Admirals, Chicago Wolves and Houston Aeros.

From 2004 to 2008, Taylor compiled 71 points (35g, 36a) in 243 AHL games with the Lowell Lock Monsters, Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights and Norfolk Admirals. Before that he played three seasons of junior hockey with the Medicine Hat Tigers, Camrose Kodiaks and Red Deer Rebels in which he recorded 79 points (28g, 51a).
