PREVIEW: Kings head to Honda

by Alex Kinkopf / Los Angeles Kings

NEIGHBORLY VISIT:
The Kings will pay a visit to Honda Center to take on the Anaheim Ducks in what is the third of their six preseason games scheduled for this season. The Kings come into the night with a 2-0-0 record thus far, picking up a pair of wins against the Arizona Coyotes (5-1 W on Sept. 21, 3-2 OT W on Sept. 22). Anaheim is 0-0-1 so far this preseason, they fell 5-4 in OT to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night. The Kings will host the Ducks on Tuesday night at STAPLES Center; they went 2-0-0 against Anaheim in their two preseason matchups last year.

DEBUTS: Jonathan Quick is not confirmed to make the start in goal tonight, but he will be one of the two goaltenders on the Kings’ depth chart along with Jhonas Enroth. Quick has yet to appear in a preseason game. Jeff Carter skated with Tanner Pearson and Tyler Toffoli Friday morning; he will be making his preseason debut tonight. Carter netted a hat trick in the Kings’ 4-2 preseason win against the Ducks at Honda Center on September 28 of last season.
