It felt a little weird last week when I played my old team, the St. Louis Blues, for the first time since I left as a free agent after the 2003-04 season. I was also a little nervous, because I still have a lot of friends on that team and they have a good coaching staff.

I felt a lot better after the game. I had a good performance, scored a couple of goals, and we won. The win was very satisfying. I also enjoyed meeting up with some old friends on the Blues after the game.

I think playing the Blues in St. Louis will be even stranger because that was my home for so long. That's something I'll experience later this month when we meet the Blues at Savvis Center on November 22.

I enjoyed my time in St. Louis because the Blues gave me a chance to be successful. I felt comfortable there after spending my first few seasons in Ottawa with the Senators. It certainly helped to play with guys like Brett Hull, Pierre Turgeon, Geoff Courtnall and Keith Tkachuk.

Last summer I was looking for a change after spending eight seasons in St. Louis. I remember talking with Ziggy Palffy, then a member of the Los Angeles Kings, and Lubomir Visnovsky. Both are from my home country of Slovakia, and both had nothing but great things to say about the Kings organization.

From those conversations, Los Angeles became my first choice for where I wanted to play after the lockout. I'm glad it worked out the way it did. This year has been great so far. We have a talented team and we're off to a great start.

My family is also really enjoying the area. There is so much for them to do and see and the weather is unbelievable. I couldn't be happier to be in Los Angeles and playing for the Kings.
