As part of tomorrow night’s Kings-Colorado Avalanche game at STAPLES Center, the Kings will give their five Olympic players and the three Olympians with the Avalanche a special public “send-off” as they prepare to head to Vancouver for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games.
Following the game, Dustin Brown (U.S.), Jack Johnson (U.S.), Jonathan Quick (U.S.), Drew Doughty (Canada) and Michal Handzus (Slovakia) are scheduled to take part in a special on-ice ceremony along with Colorado’s Paul Stastny (U.S.), Ruslan Salei (Belarus) and Peter Budaj (Slovakia) as the players take to the ice which will feature several youth hockey players holding each player’s respective flag.
The post-game ceremony will cap-off a special evening in which all fans in attendance will receive a special Kings Olympians poster (printed on recycled paper) presented by Waste Management. The Kings-Colorado game begins at 7:30 p.m.
