LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings and EA SPORTS Thursday announced that the new “NHL 10” video game, the reigning winner of 12 sports games of the year awards, will debut at LA Kings Hockey Fest ’09. Friday’s announcement is the latest in a series of programming announcements made by the Kings as part of the new three-day interactive festival celebrating the Kings and the game of hockey from August 28-30 at LA Live in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.

NHL 10, which will first be available to the general public on Sept. 15, will be at Hockey Fest for fans to play at the EA Sports kiosk on Aug.29 and 30. The Kings and EA Sports will also host a special EA Sports Video Game Tournament on Aug. 29 that will also feature the participation of several Kings players.
The Tournament, which will be held in the Event Tent, begins Saturday morning and concludes that afternoon at 2 p.m. The winners of each match will then have their names entered to win the opportunity to play some of the Kings players at 4 p.m.
In addition, the following former Kings are now expected to attend LA Kings Hockey Fest ’09: Bob Berry, Russ Courtnall, Gary Edwards, Nelson Emerson, Glen Murray, Jamie Storr and Ian Turnbull
Individual day Hockey Fest tickets are available for purchase at all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday cost $27 each while a ticket for Friday costs $37.
Three-day Hockey Fest tickets cost $60 with each ticket allowing admittance into all LA Kings Hockey Fest ’09 events for the weekend. Tickets for kids five years of age and under are free. Discounted tickets for groups are also available.
