Monarchs Sign Goaltender

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed goaltender Rick Laurendeau to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operation Hubie McDonough announced Saturday.

The move was made after Jonathan Bernier suffered an injury and will be out tonight...more from Hammond.

Laurendeau, a native of Manchester, New Hampshire, will serve as the Monarchs back-up goaltender tonight when the squad takes on the Providence Bruins. Laurendeau is 5-foot-9, 175-pounds and played college hockey at Plymouth State College.
