MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released defenseman Jordan Hill from his American Hockey League tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Hill, 21, has split the 2010-11 season between the Monarchs and the ECHL’s Ontario Reign. In 10 games with the Monarchs, the 6-foot-2, 204-pound native of Sarnia, Ontario collected one point, an assist, and 15 penalty minutes. With the Reign, Hill skated in 14 games and collected one point (0-1=1) and 19 penalty minutes. Hill joined the Monarchs after spending last season splitting time with the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit and the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. Hill was originally signed to the Monarchs on a professional tryout agreement on October 7, 2010.
