The Los Angeles Kings Legends Nights Series presented by McDonald’s kicks-off later tonight when the club honors former goalie standout Rogie Vachon in a special pre-game ceremony at STAPLES Center before the Kings host Edmonton (7 pm).
Also as a tribute to Vachon, the Kings will wear their Vintage Jerseys – the same jerseys the club wore during their season opener at Vancouver on October 9 – and the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive Rally Towels, courtesy of McDonald’s. Radio Color Commentator Daryl Evans and the Kings will also each donate $50 ($100 total) per shot on goal during tonight’s game and during the two other scheduled Legends Nights presented by McDonald’s this season. The proceeds from this promotion will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.
After tonight, the Legends Nights Series continues when the Kings honor former player/head coach Bob Berry on February 24 and former player/head coach Bob Pulford on March 19.
