LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings will give away the “Jerseys off our Backs” and one 2015 Toyota Camry tomorrow as the team celebrates Fan Appreciation Day at STAPLES Center as part of the Kings-San Jose game which begins at Noon.
Lucky fans, chosen at random from the crowd, will win authentic game-worn jerseys following the game. The Kings will also that day wear their Stadium Series jerseys for the second and final time (also worn at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on February 21).

The Kings on Saturday after the game will name their 2014-15 Award Winners -- As voted by the media: Most Valuable Player presented by McDonald’s (“Bill Libby Memorial Award”), Best Newcomer (“Mark Bavis Memorial Award”), Outstanding Defenseman and Best Defensive Player; as voted by the Kings players: Most Inspirational Player (“Ace Bailey Memorial Award”) and Unsung Hero; as selected by the Kings Care Foundation: Community Service; and as selected by the Kings Booster Club: Most Popular Player.
In addition, the Kings are pleased to introduce a new award this season – the Daryl Evans Youth Hockey Service award -- which is given to the player determined to continue our club’s efforts in growing the game of hockey in our area, and the Community award, established in 1988, is now known as the Jim Fox Community Service award.
At the Team LA Store on Saturday, there will be a special Fan Appreciation Sale in which product will be up to 40 percent off for the game.
The Kings-Sharks game will air on NBC and KABC Radio 790. The game, which is sold out, will mark the Kings’ 41st home sellout this season (all 2014-15 regular season games at STAPLES Center) and it marks the 131st consecutive regular season sellout and the 161st consecutive sellout overall (both team records).
The 2014-15 season also marks the fourth season in which every home game was a sellout, and the only which featured exactly 41 games in the Kings’ home arena. Previous “sold out seasons” included 1991-92 (40 games); 2012-13 (24 games/work stoppage); and 2013-14 (40 games plus one at Dodger Stadium).
Heading into tomorrow’s game, the Kings’ total home attendance figure of 730,690 is a franchise best. The Kings have also set a per-game record average of 18,267 (figure does not include Saturday’s game).
