Kings Recall Jeff Schultz From Manchester Monarchs

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled defenseman Jeff Schultz from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Schultz played in 67 regular season games with the Monarchs this season, recording 13 points (2-11=13), 32 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating. Schultz has also appeared in two playoff games with Manchester, recording zero points, two penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating.

The 6-6, 225-pound native of Calgary, Alberta has played in 399 career NHL regular season games (all with Washington), recording 75 points (11-64=75) and 133 penalty minutes. In 29 career NHL postseason games he has one assist and 14 penalty minutes.

Game Seven of the First Round series between the Kings and Sharks is set for tonight at the SAP Center, with game-time at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast locally on Prime Ticket and KEIB AM 1150 The Patriot.
