LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled goaltender Jonathan Bernier
from the Manchester Monarchs (American Hockey League) under emergency conditions, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Monday.
Bernier, 21, has played in one game with the Kings this season – March 12 at Dallas where he recorded the win as part of a 2-1 Kings shootout victory. He was recalled by the Kings on March 11 under emergency conditions and was assigned by the Kings to the Monarchs on March 14. He has also played in 56 games with the Monarchs this year, recording a 29-20-6 record, a 2.07 goals-against-average, a .936 save percentage and eight shutouts.
The Kings visit the Minnesota Wild tonight in St. Paul to begin a two-game road trip. The game, which begins at 6 p.m. (PT), will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network. The trip concludes tomorrow, Tuesday, in Nashville at 5 p.m. (PT), with that game set to be broadcast on FS West, KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network.
