More than 140 kids -- ranging in age from 4-15 - will hit the ice next week at the 17th Annual Los Angeles Kings Youth Hockey Camp at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo. The first on-ice day for the campers is Monday, August 14, and the week-long fun culminates with an entertaining "game day" on Saturday, August 19.

Beginning on Monday, the kids take the ice at 9 a.m. The game-day for the campers will take place on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m., and all proceeds from Kings Camp 2006 will benefit the Kings Care Foundation, the club's charitable arm.

Kings players Rob Blake (camper photo day -- Tuesday), George Parros and Noah Clarke are scheduled to serve as special instructors, and Kings Alumni Daryl Evans, Jim Fox and Ian Turnbull will serve as instructors as well.

For more information, including specific days that instructors are slated to attend, please contact Mike Kalinowski of the Kings Communications Department at 310-535-4515.
