Kings Announce Hockey Fest Lineup

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have announced the complete Schedule of Events for next month’s LA Kings Hockey Fest ’10 event, including the participants for the Kids Press Conference and Winning Ways.

The schedule, which is below, and participants are subject to change. LA Kings Hockey Fest ’10 takes place on Saturday, September 11, at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.

LA Kings Hockey Fest 2010 -- Schedule of Events:

8 a.m. – Doors Open

9 -10:30 a.m. – State of the Kings with Dean Lombardi, Ron Hextall, Jeff Solomon and Terry Murray – hosted by Daryl Evans (location: covered NHL rink)

10 a.m. – Noon – Kings Rookie Camp practice (location: Olympic ice)

10:30 a.m. - Autograph line opens for Session #1 (location: roller hockey rink)

11 a.m. - Noon – Autograph Session #1 – Jonathan Bernier, Davis Drewiske, Rich Clune, Anze Kopitar, Michal Handzus, Scott Parse, Jonathan Quick (location: roller hockey rink)

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. - Kids Press Conference – Matt Greene, Brad Richardson, Jack Johnson, Wayne Simmonds – hosted by Heidi Androl (location: covered NHL rink)

12:30 p.m. - Autograph line opens for Session #2 (location: roller hockey rink)

1 – 2 p.m. - Autograph Session #2 – Erik Ersberg, Peter Harrold, Alexei Ponikarovsky, Dustin Brown, Willie Mitchell (location: roller hockey rink)

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. - The Life of a King – Jay Wells, Marty McSorley, Luc Robitaille – hosted by Jim Fox (location: covered NHL rink)

2 – 3 p.m. – Bailey’s Family Skate on Olympic Ice (location: Olympic rink)

2:30 p.m. - Autograph line opens for Session #3 (location: roller hockey rink)

3 – 4 p.m. - Autograph Session #3 - Wells, McSorley, Robitaille (location: roller hockey rink)

3 – 3:30 p.m. - Wayne Simmonds and Drew Doughty to play winning fans at the EA Sports Gaming Area (location: roller rink)

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Winning Ways – Ryan Smyth, Justin Williams, Jarret Stoll, Rob Scuderi – hosted by Nick Nickson (location: covered NHL rink)

4 – 5 p.m. – Kings Rookie Camp practice (location: Olympic ice)

5 – 6 p.m. – LA Kings Pep Rally (location: covered NHL rink) - 2010 LA Kings, Rookies, Alumni, Staff and Ice Crew to be introduced hosted by Jim Fox. 

7 p.m. - Hockey Fest Officially Closed

Tickets cost $15 for Kings Season Ticket members and for Partial Plan and Group Leaders by calling 1-888-KINGS-LA (1-888-54647-52). Tickets for the general public cost $20 and be can purchased by visiting Less than 400 tickets total remain available for purchase.

Also, with this year’s Hockey Fest being held on September 11, the Kings Care Foundation will be hosting special fundraising activities at the event to benefit local organizations affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. More details to come on Thursday.
