Fans who make a donation will have the opportunity to win prizes, including a team-signed stick, and more.Adopt-A-Family – Dec. 5
This year's annual Adopt-A-Family event with the Child Abuse Prevention Center will take place on Sunday at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo. Kings players and staff will be on-hand to meet and present the families with gifts and serve lunch. Families will also be invited to skate on the ice.
The Child Abuse Prevention Center directly serves at-risk children and families in crisis to prevent and break the generational cycle of child abuse. Their goals are accomplished by matching families at risk of child abuse with professional social workers to work with them in their homes. The goal of the intervention is to replace old patterns of abuse with nurturing parenting styles, as well as to empower parents to become financially self-sufficient.View a Kings Vision feature of last year’s Adopt a Family event
