Kings Alumni to Face USS Ronald Reagan

The LA Kings alumni will face members of the USS Ronald Reagan in a scrimmage game prior to the Kings hosting the Calgary Flames on Monday, Dec. 7 at STAPLES Center. Game time is slated for 2:30 p.m. with the Kings-Flames contest to follow at 7:30 p.m.

The Kings Alumni Association will have the following players participate:
Nelson Emerson - Kings Alumni
Ian Turnbull – Kings Alumni
Marty McSorley- Kings Alumni
Craig Johnson – Kings Alumni
Gary Edwards – Kings Alumni
Daryl Evans – Kins Alumni
Jamie Kompon – Kings Coach
Mark Hardy – Kings Coach/Alumni
Wayne Smith – NHL Alumni
Mel Bridgman – NHL Alumni
JF Jomphe – NHL Alumni
Ralph Barahona – NHL Alumni
Pete Demers- Trainer
Jason Rappaport – Goalie

The game will consiste of two 30-min periods with running clock time followed by a private reception for the troops and their friends and family .

About the USS Ronald Reagan:
The USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) is a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered super carrier in the service of the United States Navy. The ninth ship of her class, she is named in honor of former President Ronald Reagan, President of the United States from 1981 to 1989. Upon her christening in 2001, she was the first ship to be named for a living former president. Four ships and more than 5,000 Sailors of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 7 returned to their homeport of San Diego Oct. 21 after a five-month deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.
