LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have activated defenseman Aaron Miller from the injured reserve list and he is expected to play in tonight's Kings-Edmonton game, Kings President, Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.
Miller, 34, was placed on the injured reserve list on December 29 (retroactive to December 22) due to back spasms and he has missed the club's last 16 games. He suffered the injury during the first period of the Kings-Calgary game on December 21.
In 36 games with the Kings this season, Miller has five points (all assists), 10 penalty minutes and a plus-five rating. In 518 career NHL regular season games with the Kings and Colorado Avalanche/Quebec Nordiques, the 6-3, 218-pound native of Buffalo has 99 points (24-75=99), 313 penalty minutes and a plus-53 rating.
